The Bell Hotel at Winslow
Presents an
Eu debate
On Monday June 6th 2016 at 7.30pm
“D-Day”
On June 23rd we are being asked to vote on whether to Stay or leave the European Union. After some 40 years of membership, has this common market got out of control or would we damage our country by pulling out and going alone? With so many local people undecided, we are organising an informal debate with two speakers from each side of the argument to put across their reasons on which way we should vote on June 23rd.
The evening will be chaired by local businessman Guy Bond. He has agreed to be our resident ‘David Dimbleby’ for the evening and has over 30 years of experience of debating with the Young Farmers movement. His family have been involved in agriculture for four generations and has managed the Great Britain shooting team for several years travelling extensively throughout Europe. He is at present undecided on which way to vote, so will be our impartial chairman. The Bell hotel has been an important coaching Inn for over 400 years and has heard many a debate on local, current & national affairs, so we hope you will turn out to listen to this very important topical discussion to help you decide which way to vote on June 23rd for our country to either stay or leave the European Union. We will also be serving the award winning homemade pies, made on the premises of the Bell hotel.
Tickets are limited and are on sale at £10 to include Pie & Mash
Please note: £5 of the above will be donated to local Charities
