Great pub with lots of nooks and crannies in a beautiful village! Fab pies, splendid beer and a warm welcome.

Nathan Holland

We had a lovely weekend break at the Bell Hotel. The room was warm and welcoming, and the evening meal from a slightly reduced menu was excellent. In the present challenging times the safety procedures in place were implemented carefully and efficiently by all the staff. We shall certainly be back in the future.

Brian Hawksworth

Thank you to all the staff who dealt with us after we only found out after our nights stay that we were actually in the wrong Bell hotel ! There was confusion when we arrived as they couldn’t locate our booking but still put us in a lovely room for the night .
Thank you to Caz and Phil who couldn’t have been more helpful .
Breakfast was lovely and felt very welcomed there .
If we are ever in your neck of the woods again we will most definitely be booking to stay with you again !

Lucy Davies

A most enjoyable 2 night stay at this lovely Hotel. From arrival to departure, I was well looked after. Very comfortable bedroom and superb food. Will definitely be back. Thankyou and stay safe.

Tim Atherton

Spent five wonderful days at the Bell hotel Winslow, (15th - 20th September) Fantastic cooked breakfasts, and homemade pies to die for. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even in these difficult times. would not hesitate to stay there again next time we are in Buckinghamshire.

Barry Stevenson

We had a superb evening staying at the Bell Hotel. Phillip and his team gave us a warm welcome. The room we stayed in was superb, Kaz in the bar was as lovely as ever, lovely food and superb breakfast. Highly recommend staying in the Bell Hotel. Can't wait to return again. See you all soon. Kevin.

Kevin Pryor

My first stay at The Bell, but hopefully not my last. Lovely staff throughout... Couldn't have been more helpful & friendly. I had asked for & received a quiet room, it also had a pleasant view which was a bonus. I had a really nice meal from the restaurant & my room was comfy, cosy & clean. I wish I could have stayed longer.... I can't believe the hotel has only a 2-star rating, as it certainly deserves more! Also, not least of all.... The price! Extremely reasonable, well done one & all. Hope to be back soon.

Marc Ridley

This was my 3rd visit to the hotel in 9 months, there would have been more but for Covid19. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious. Rooms very comfortable. Now operational under difficult cirumstances, the Bell hotel continues to offer excellent service at very good value for money prices. I look forward to my next visit🤗🤗

Jane Fishet

I love The Bell. The food is fab, the staff are friendly and helpful and the beds in the executive rooms are devine. I would definitely recommend a stay here

The Bell Hotel in Winslow is a delightful old world venue for excellent food, comfortable rooms and friendly staff and customers, together, providing a relaxing experience seldom found in this rushing world we live in today.

Roger Link

We currently have 6 contractors staying in the bell hotel Monday to Friday the feedback I’m receiving from them is that it’s a brilliant hotel with great staff that cannot do enough for you congratulations to all at the bell hotel for your excellent service you give to your guests

Robert podmore

My wife and I stayed over on the night of 10th December. As I was at a function in the evening my wife dined with friends and all of them thoroughly enjoyed the food from the carvery, the ambience and olde worlde charm along with excellent service. Our room was large and very comfortable with an extremely large jaccuzi bath in the ensuite. The bed suited my wife but, for me, it was a tad on the soft side. Breakfast was most enjoyable with a plentiful supply of coffee and set us up for the drive home.

Roger

As always we thoroughly enjoyed our family get together at The Bell, warm friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Well worth the journey from Devon.
Warm regards

How The Bell Hotel has a 2 star rating is beyond me. I could have moved in permanently; a hotel has never had such an effect on me!The hotel is beautiful & full of character, with it's beamed ceilings & numerous fireplaces. The staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful. My room was so cosy & relaxing, home from home.I loved the furniture & the massive cupboard that was the wardrobe, complete with iron, ironing board & extra pillow plus a small electric heater (which I made use of on my first night). My duvet was to die for, it was like sleeping enveloped in a cloud. The Bell had everything I could wish for & I loved the decor as well as all the little things, right down to the salt & pepper pots & the beautiful butterfly card holders on the restaurant tables.Even the bin in my room had 'Choose Happy' on it.The food was amazing and breakfast was superb, with self service, enabling you to help yourself to what you want.I was honestly sad to leave after my stay,I will miss The Bell Hotel. If I am ever in Buckinghamshire again,I will stay there without doubt!Nowhere else will do!

Sonja Lake

The only reason that I have not rated it 5 is because it was difficult to get back from the MK stadium. You could argue that that is the fault of the taxis not the hotel of course.
Anyway the hotel was wonderful.

Brenda Watson

Staff friendly and helpful. The only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian option at breakfast (some veggie sausages would have been nice). Lovely little town to wander around in - overall very pleasant.

Beate Firth

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful village!
the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much for them. wonderful food, would most definitely recommend

jamie Lee Clark

A lot of the so called big Hotels could do with their managers staying here and learning what hospitality really is. Great Room, great price, excellent food, good bar, friendly and helpfull staff and attentiveness by the owner. Would recommend The Bell to anybody.

Peter Ward

Great place to stay. Wonderful staff, very helpful and accommodating our every need. Good size room with comfortable bed. Good selection of food, good portions and very tasty. Look forward to our next stay.

Andy Aley

Clean roons with very comfortable beds. Food in both the Restaurant and the Bar is excellent. Staff are friendly, very relaxing atmosphere for a few days away.

Margaret Edwards

Traveling the U.K. for 5 weeks from Australia, we spent one night in Winslow. We decided to dine at The Bell Hotel.
On the specials board was the "Ox tail casserole", which I ordered. A really hearty, old world traditional casserole, (the type you remember with love that Granny cooked). Only one word could describe it.
Sensational! Simply the best pub casserole I've ever tasted. An absolute must for those who regret the passing of "proper" home style casserole pub meals.

Michael Collins

Stayed at the Bell (not the first time either) on a trip for a friend's birthday bash nearby - welcome was warm and sincere, had a few drinks in the bar which were great and comfortable and quaint room. Next morning's breakfast buffet was very good too!

Mic Spencer

It's the third time we've stayed at the Bell and again, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The staff are always really friendly, the rooms comfortable and the food lovely.

Wendy Kupinski

Excellent establishment, would recommend to everyone

Eric

We booked two rooms at Bell one family and one double, both were perfectly acceptable. The staff were courteous and value very helpful.
The breakfast on the Sunday morning was a great start to the day.
For the price this hotel is a great value stopover.

David Faithful

I cannot comment highly enough on our recent stay at The Bell Hotel. The accommodation and food was absolutely excellent and all of the staff extremely helpful and excellent. Looking forward to our next stay.

David Beal

Party arranged for 50 guests ranging in age from ninety years to three months with many guests staying the night. Arrangements met the needs of all, food good, room for live music and dancing. Staff very accommodating both in making arrangements and on the night and for breakfast the following morning. Dad was very happy.
Many thanks

Steve Norman

Very friendly and helpful
Staff, room clean and comfortable, with good food

Jane plourde

I stayed at The Bell Inn with a friend and we found everything to our liking. We had a lovely room No 1 (Thank you , as this was an upgrade) We had all our meals at the hotel which were very good and reasonably priced. Good parking facilities. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly return.

Margaret Burke

Fantastic place. So friendly and accommodating
They let us check in early as we were there for a wedding.
Would definitely stay again as a visitor to the area

Jacqui Brewster

A really friendly welcome awaited us at the Bell. All the staff were so helpful and kind. Taken to our room and they accommodated an early check in as we were there for a family wedding. Great selection of Ale and the pies are to die for. Our room (8) was spacious with large bathroom. Bed was so comfy. If there was a downside we felt the decor was a tiny bit tired and needed a refresh but clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay again.

Alun Morgan

Absolutely fabulous stay here. We had a wedding and were allowed to check in early. From the first telephone contact were so helpful and accommodating Room was very clean and the breakfast was top quality fare. Would definitely stay again as I frequent the area. Thank you

Jacqui Brewster

A group of us from Cambridge visited a mutual friend who has recently moved to Winslow and had lunch here today with her, what a find ! Our friend's son had booked us a table here and despite being extremely busy , due to a large crowd of mourners form a funeral - which our friend's son had been told about , when he booked, the service and food were both outstanding. Between us we had several different choices from your main menu and each of us were very impressed with both the quantity and quality of the food. I was thrilled to discover that you did pies to take home too and took one home for my husband. He's just eaten this (I did sample a small piece too ! ) and this too was fantastic. Absolutely thrilled to have found such an amazing place and will definitely visit again when in the area. May even come to stay, as Winslow seems such a quaint old market town - never been there before. Many, many thanks to you all- will certainly recommend to any friends/ family coming that way .

Diane Barnes

I have stayed at this quaint hotel twice now and will be staying here again. I stayed in a room with a 4 poster bed and jacuzzi and cannot stress enough just how relaxing a time I had. The bed was the most comfortable and the jacuzzi was amazing. The room is gorgeous and right up my street. The food is delicious, tasty, well presented with enough to suit any appetite. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I have recommended this place to family and friends and will be staying here again in the not to distant future.

Iona Rudder

An excellent and friendly greeting on arrival. Suitcase carried to the room and all explanations given re restaurant etc. The room was clean and decorated in a pleasing manner. The carvery was very good and also the buffet breakfast. As a solo traveller I was made to feel very welcome by the owners. I enjoyed my one night so much that I booked an extra night.!! I would certainly head for the Bell when in the area again !

SUSI TENTY

No complaints nice pub nice beer and great breakfast. Comfortable room nice staff. I recommend the stay.

Jonathan Huber

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Bell. Very comfortable, clean, quirky building, very helpful staff, lovely food and surroundings. Interesting town with independent shops.

Lynnette

Wonderful stay at this lovely hotel in the centre of Winslow. We had dinner and breakfast which was superb and our bedroom had a four poster bed and jacuzzi bath, which was fabulous. We would highly recommend a stay at this quirky hotel with lots of character and fantastic staff who go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. We will definitely come back soon.

Therese Fletcher

We booked late afternoon for a stay that night. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly and taken to our room and shown where breakfast would be the next day. The room was cosy but had plenty of space. Decoration was comfortable and in keeping with the historic building. The area was quiet and although there are a number of rooms the surrounding area was very quiet. The mattress was a little saggy on the edge, but slept comfortably. Breakfast was from 8am on the Sunday and the area was busy but staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast had a range of hot and cold food - I had just the muesli, fruit and bread. I was there to participate in a race, 'Race the Claydons' which was a few miles away from the village. When asked whether it would be possible to return after the race, staff were SO helpful and kind in agreeing, also helping to give directions to the location. As I had a 2 hour journey to make after the race, it enabled me to freshen up and change. We would definitely return to the The Bell Hotel if in the area. Thank-you for being so accommodating.

Mrs Caron Hiscock

We loved the atmosphere, friendly staff, location and very good breakfast of The Bell Hotel. Thank you very much for making our stay such a nice one!

Nicolette Meurs

We got a warm welcome, by friendly hospitable staff. We ate dinner in the pub both evenings of our stay where we found the food to be delicious and hearty which was much needed after a long day competing. Would highly recommend.

Maria

Lovely, friendly staff, and a really characterful hotel, with a labyrinth of atmospheric rooms in the public areas. Good value too. Will visit again as soon as we can!

Ian Flint

Never been here before. Visiting Bletchley Park & Woburn Abby, so good location. Nice little town to walk round. Hotel very good, meals good as staff. Would stay again if up that way.

Michael Annis

Very nice hotel ,friendly staff

jamie cleary

Great stay woth no problems at a lovely inn. The room was suitable for me and my daughters needs although not for longer than a few days but perfect for short stay. Enjoyed hospitality of the bar and amazing bar food and breakfast. Many thanks

Jane

Stayed at the Bell Hotel for one night 13th April in Room 8 (Executive King Room). The room was huge, clean and comfortable a small problem with the TV was sorted very quickly. Check-in and out process was quick and efficient. The food was great - good Pub Grub, wish i'd tried the famous Pies though - did mean to buy some to take home, maybe next time.

Would definitely stay again.

Jody

Very pleased with our recent stay at the Bell.

gerry moran

We were attending a wedding locally and we were very pleased with our stay at the Bell

gerry moran

Hola, it is jordi. I was 2 weeks ago for the Model T weekend but didn't have chance to stay but bought some pies 🙂
I tried the cavery today and it was really really good and i brought more pies with me, of course.
Really nice and friendly people, always with smile.
Thanks for your kindness Jeany.
See you soon

Jordi

Staff friendly and helpful, good food, especially the pies and clean, comfortable room.
Very good

MR G S JOHNSON

Excellently placed for local touring, the Bell Hotel offered wonderful character, good comfort and excellent service from staff who were always helpful and keen to please. Despite being on what could have been a busy road, my room was quiet, and car parking safe and well lit. The restaurant offered good choice, and the bonus was to go home with a couple of award winning pies from the integral pie shop!

Barbara Thompson

Selected this hotel because so close to Waddesdon Manor and Bletchley Park and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. Very traditional and in some ways quirky with lots of roomsfor eating and drinking and an old fashioned which we love. Bedroom was spacious, clean and warm. Food in the bar excellent. Will be back.

Lindsay Angys

My son and daughter-in-law stayed with you over the weekend and due to a misunderstanding between me and them, they didn't like the room I'd said was suitable for them! You were actually fully booked and so busy over the weekend and yet you bent over backwards to move them and find more suitable accommodation for them. Thank you very much.

Christine Sims

The room was quite spacious, with a surprisingly large en-suite bathroom. The room was clean with the quirks of a centuries old establishment. Excellent meals, and pies to suit all tastes.

Andy Aley

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Toby's restaurant food was excellent.

My only complaint was that the toilet flush was very tired and reluctant to obey.

Chris Wensley

We stayed 1 night in room 1 which was extremely spacious and had a very comfortable bed.
Staff very friendly and breakfast was of good quality. Some noise from downstairs bar but had a good sleep. Overall good value for money.

Debbie rogers

As uusual, when briefly visiting from Yorkshire, we stay at The Bell...and as usual, we are not disappointed.
Very warm and friendly welcome, excellent hospitality, and lovely food, all conspire to make our all-too-brief visits a real pleasure, and we always look forward to our next stay.
Keep up the good work!

A very pleasant stay for two nights. En-suite shower was cosy , but was efficient and everything needed was there. Wouldn't hesitate to return to same room. Will definitely try the food another time, All staff I encountered were lovely, including the decorator who directed me to my room after I mistook my way.

Delia Vidal

We have stayed at The Bell Hotel several times.
Always a warm welcome.
Ample parking, great rooms, lovely food and drink, friendly staff.
Oh, and don't forget their award winning pies.
We will be back.

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Bell. Very clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly attentive staff and a wide range of delicious food. We have no hesitation in recommending to other travellers.

R and B Hughes

Nice, friendly hotel that is housed in a lovely old building in the centre of town. Parking easy and bar food and restaurant reasonably priced and well presented.

My room at least was fairly basic but comfortable enough and provided a goods night sleep.

Would certainly stay agin!

Michael

Winslow is my home town and The Bell holds many happy memories of my younger years. We have now moved away from the area and I am so pleased to be able to stay there when we come up to visit family.. This was our 3rd stay, and as always was exceptional, from the staff, to the room, to the food. I cannot fault. Really looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Comfortable stay in a very clean and welcoming hotel. Good food, no problems. I have stayed here three times now and would happily return.

This is nice property with individual rooms an attached pub and restaurant, clean tidy rooms. We had a problem with low water pressure to the shower so the next day we were upgraded to a very nice suite with spa bath and power shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth a stay if you're in the Buckingham area.

Sue Hirst

Very comfortable stay and a very nice breakfast

Sue Hirst

Wow what a lovely hotel with so much character and charm, the staff were really helpful and attentive. food was great and the banter from the locals was great. fabulous room and décor, the only remark would be because of the age of the building (circa 1666) it wasn't very sound proof but don't let that put anyone off. we will return when next in the area.

Mr Davis

Only stayed one night for surprise party but the room was very comfortable plenty of tea and coffee, breakfast was very nice too. If we need to stay in area again I would certainly book in at the bell hotel

Dawn Breese

Welcoming, super friendly staff. Lovely Hotel with charming rooms always a surprise which one we get! Great breakfast all at a very reasonable rate.
And you must try The Pie Shop..........delicious!
Best regards to all.

Christina Kuligowski

My bwife and I have stayed and dined on many occasions and will continue to so do.
On our last visit there were a couple of minor issues which had to be attended to and these were dealt with in a most efficient manner. The staff are pleasant and clearly intent on making ones visit a happy one

Tony Merrett

Overnight stay with Family (2Adults and 4children). The staff were accommodating and had 2 rooms that were perfect for a Family as they were next to each other but with a lockable front door! Breakfast was included anc was spot on!

Fabulous stay make to feel very welcome meet and greet 110% will definitely be returning
Thank-you for your hospitality

Anne Marie Mellor

This is a traditional style hotel/pub set in the middle of town. My wife and I found the staff very helpful. The room had every facility you could want and the large bed was very comfortable. We stayed on a Friday night when the bars and restaurant were very busy however our room was quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant with food from the carvery, it was delicious and very good value. The service was excellent. Breakfast was self service with a wide choice of food to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Bell Hotel.
My wife and I have stayed in a lot of hotels and B & Bs and it is rare we give high review scores unless we think it is deserved. This hotel met with our approval and more.

Andrew Lucas

ENJOYABLE 2 NIGHT STAY VERY COMFORTABLE.

ALAN JACKSON

What a fabulous hotel friendly staff and great food

Paul Tordoff

It was a great stay everyone so friendly and the food was fantastic
Can’t wait to stay again

Paul jeffreys

We enjoyed a one night stay in late August 2018 and were delighted to be in the centre of town within such an historic building. Reception staff were delightful, they even gave us their personal fan due to the weather being so hot and the fan in the room being missing. Thank you for that.
A quick stroll around town assured us that we would definitely get the best pies for miles if we stayed in for dinner, so that's what we did and were not disappointed.
Winslow is the perfect place to stay if you intend to visit Bletchley Park, as we did, and I am certain we will return.

Lucille Reeves

A most enjoyable stay with a very good choice of good food, a splendid comfortable room and friendly attentive service throughout.

Arnold

We stayed here on a Saturday night recently. We were warmly received even though they were busy. We had a lovely dinner and they were flexible enough to let my wife eat from the Toby restaurant menu while I had the carvery. Both were splendid, as was breakfast the following morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The whole place is very traditional and a warren of rooms and corridors. Access to some areas could be tricky for those with mobility problems.
There is an excellent pie shop and they can be eaten in or taken away.
My only significant criticism is on the real ale selection, which was totally Greene King: IPA, Abbot and Ruddles. These days good pubs should sell at least one local beer.

Steve Chandler

Stayed 1 night whilst at a family wedding in Woughton. A beautiful old coaching inn, that had a great mix of the values of old and modern hotel comforts, set in a pretty English country village. Our room was large , very clean and very comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. Even found a man who lived in the cellar strolling about ! All together good value and a lovely experience. Recommend to all

Liam & Linda Larkin.

Thank you for making my stay with you comfortable and friendly. I was working in the area and booked in for 1 night. My room was comfy, food was delicious and the Staff were friendly what more could i ask for. Thank you once again and i look forward to visiting again, soon i hope.

Tim Rice

Polite staff , lovely room and a comfortable bed , good breakfast too

Duncan Reap

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay in this lovely old pub. Helpful and friendly receptionist. Good choice at breakfast. Would happily recommend this pub for B and B.

Carol Dutton

Great place to stay in mid Bucks. with lots of attractions within an hours drive. I used to stay here in the 80's and it still as good as it was then. The meat pies are the best you can find anywhere.

Lovely stay staff were a delight food spot on .manager /bossman a delight very nice easy going guy
Didn't want us to starve that's a fact .
Could rabble on all day about this place and it would be all good

Stirling Moorecock

My small single room was clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast was very good with plenty of cooked options, but natural yoghurt would have been good with the fresh fruit. Plenty of free parking and a nice quiet night, thank you.

M Andrews

On the hottest day of the year we enjoyed a most convivial night in Winslow. The staff are friendly and helpful and our room was very comfortable. Supper was very good and the following day for a lunch following our mother’s funeral things could not have been more carefully run. Thank you.

'James Barnes'

Excellent value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area

Neil Pritchard

A second visit following a very good first stay but this time only a single room available not my usual choice but the booking was for 1 night; good size single room with a compact ensuite. A characterful village pub, flag floors in part with quirky stair cases and corridors, a well stocked bar and good food, plus a great breakfast.

Ian Talbot

Excellent hotel, staff very helpful, rooms spacious and food excellent

Debbie Cummings

We had 2 nights there. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. The only minor drawback was the noise from the area outside one night from some of the patrons. We would definitely use the hotel again.

Michael Commins

The room was luxurious & comfortable. The jacuzzi worked well. The meal at the interval of the Winslow Hall Opera was tasty & promptly served. The breafast was good. We hope to come again next year.

Donald Wray

Staff all very helpful and welcoming and catered for quite a large number of guests for dinner very well. Room good standard and enjoyed our stay. Took one of the pies home and thoroughly enjoyed that too.

K Thomson

I had.a.fall at another location.on my return the
Receptionist Got and Ice
Pack and pain killers for me. Thank you this was wonderful

What a lovely place to stay. As other guests have said, this is an old establishment and is quite quirky-lots of up and down steps etc. However, what a place to stay. The rooms are large and comfortable and very, very clean. The staff are so kind and genuinely helpful. It definitely is a family friendly hotel even tho it is part of a pub (which has that lovely "Village Pub" feel). We took our 11 yr old with us and he thought the place was "awesome". This was our first visit to Winslow for a wedding at nearby Horwood House. It was very convenient to the venue, tons cheaper and I reckon a much nicer place to stay. We will definitely be back soon. Thank You The Bell Hotel xXx

We were part of a group staying at this quaint hotel for 3 nights. I cannot praise the owner and staff enough for their hard work and excellent service. Groups are never easy to look after but the staff made every effort to accommodate our requirements. Even though our room in the rear annexe was a little cramped it was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and all the staff couldn't have been more helpful or worked harder for us. Sadly such excellent service is not experienced very often in hotels these days. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay was a very pleasurable experience.

A very enjoyable and pleasant stay on Wed 6th June. All your staff were so very helpful and accommodating. The pillows left a lot to be desired but otherwise our party thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The food was very good value for money.

For some years six of us have met for a 'short break' in an assortment of locations. We get together from Kent, London and South Yorkshire and have often found it quite difficult to find a suitably 'central' location! The Bell has come up trumps on all fronts!

The staff are all very friendly and efficient, and the food excellent. Usually we try out the local restaurants wherever we stay, but The Bell is so varied and good that we opted to eat 'in house'. Toby's, the Carvery and the Bar food are all very varied and delicious ..... so there was no need to go elsewhere. Breakfast certainly set us up for our 'days out' too.

If I have any criticism at all it would be that the room that my wife and I had could do with a 'make over'. I am a very big bloke (!!!) and would have liked more space, which, I realise, was unavailable. Next time, and we will certainly return in the future, it will be at a time when all three couples can have larger rooms!

The Bell Hotel staff were most friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, though the toaster was a little slow. Our room was very comfortable, as was the bed.
The hot water in the bathroom was a bit hit and miss and the Jacuzzi did not work, but the bathroom itself was very plush.
We will return.

Stayed for 1 Friday night and the stay was Not the horror that some may image it could have been. The room was quite and comfortable. Ensuite was as large as some bedrooms elsewhere! Unfortunately missed the breakfast as had to be away early on saturday morning. Overall no complaints

I booked a very late stay as I was working in the area. I got the very last room (No 30) the room was well equipped but very small, with extremely low doors and ceilings. I’m only 5’9” and struggled. The breakfast was very good and the staff couldn’t of been more helpful.

Have just completed a 2 night stay at The Bell Hotel. It exceeded my expectations, I was expecting a "normal" small town inn/hotel but the Bell exceeds that. The room were had was overlooking the market square. We were not disturbed by the noise from the road. The room was large with a high ceiling, very comfortable bed and the en-suite was bigger than some modern bedrooms! Can not fault the rest of the Hotels accommodation. The 16th century design of rooms and connecting passages makes the place quirky. 2 bars are available when needed and the bar meals are very good value for money and the award winning pies are just that. Good range of beers etc are also available. Can't fault the breakfast either - the chef cooked fried eggs to order rather than letting them sit there. Finally the staff very friendly and helpful. So in conclusion definitely a great place to stay and I will be returning .

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, good food, you must try their Pies

Thank you for accommodating all of us a party of 6 - we arrived with a warm welcome and booked into our rooms and the restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals, which where prepared fresh and scrumptious. We would have like to seen the award winning pies on the evening menu, however we have to come back and try another day. The rooms where clean and comfortable. Would recommend a visit.

Leanne Bates

we enjoyed the stay tremendously! The staff was extremely helpful and enjoyable to communicate with. We received for gratis a fantastic room when our room appeared to have a problem and it was not possible to fix it on Saturday night. The receptionist is very friendly and smiley. The house is very interesting: based on a 17th century house and built around it, it is a maze! 100% recommend!

We enjoyed our one night stay. The Bell Hotel is certainly one of the most charming hotels that we know. There was a spot of bother with the shower (cold) but we'll certainly revisit your hotel! Kind regards.

It was great to be back at The Bell.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Plenty parking spaces.
Big room with lovely bed and shower/bath.
Fantastic meal in the restaurant.
Oh, and don't forget the pie shop.
We are coming back at least twice this year.

Peter Faarkrog

Yet again we had an excellent weekend at The Bell, with the Model T Ford club. The staff are friendly and efficient, the locally-sourced food is delicious & good value and the building - an old coaching inn - is a delight for traditionalists. The rooms are comfortable but expect road noise if you're at the front of the hotel. We've booked our room again for next year's event.

Nick Cliffe

We enjoyed our time with you, the food was excellent and the service was great. The only down side was that the shower in our room 42 did not work at all but had been told that it had been fixed, a shame really as we alway have a shower every day!!

Derek Phillips

Alan Spackman

We enjoyed our stay over Christmas. There has been a lot of work done on room 42 since we first used it 3 or 4 years ago. This is much appreciated and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good - local meat made the bacon and sausages special and the scrambled eggs were the best I have had for a long time.

Neil

Myself and my friend had a wonderful one night stay. The room was spotlessly clean, so cosy outside in the courtyard. We couldn't fault anything. I'd never been to Winslow before, and will certainly revisit and recommend The Bell. We had a great evening.

Tracy

We were at The Bell to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of The Bucks County Show. As usual the food was to a very high standard and was served efficiently by the ever friendly staff!

You never leave The Carvery hungry!
